When lip filler has migrated, it typically does not dissolve on its own. Once the filler has shifted from its original placement, it is unlikely to revert to its intended position spontaneously. In such cases, dissolving the migrated filler may be necessary to restore the desired lip appearance. Injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, commonly used for lip augmentation, can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. Hyaluronidase breaks down the HA filler, allowing it to be absorbed by the body.

Injector Alexandria at Velvet Crush Aesthetic Lab is now offering a LIP REHAB PACKAGE. This package includes a session of lip dissolver followed by a session of a full syringe of lip filler.

WHY DO I WANT MY LIP FILLER DISSOLVED & REFILLED?

 

• Migration: If the filler moves beyond the intended area, it can cause lumps, asymmetry, or an unnatural look. 

• Overfilling: Unnaturally large lips can be a result of overfilling.  Think of the dreaded “duck lip”.

• Poor placement: Filler that's not injected in the right place can cause lumps, asymmetry, or an unnatural look. 

• Infection: If there's an infection at the injection site, the filler should be dissolved. 

• Dissatisfaction: You might not like the size, shape, or look of your lips. 

• Medical emergencies: If there's a vascular occlusion, the filler should be dissolved.

HOW DO THIS PACKAGE WORK?

 

Your first session will involve old filler being dissolver. An anesthetic dental block will be performed to ensure maximum comfort. Dissolver will be injected and your appointment for your lips to be refilled will be made in 2 weeks. Please allow for downtown after dissolver as clients are more likely to bruise and swell immediately after dissolver. 

 

WHY DO I HAVE TO WAIT 2 WEEKS TO HAVE MY LIPS REFILLED?

 

• The waiting period allows the tissues to return to normal and any swelling or bruising to go away. 

• The waiting period allows the body to fully metabolize the filler and heal the surrounding tissues. 

• The waiting period allows for the natural healing process to occur. 

 

WHO CANNOT GET THEIR LIPS DISSOLVED?

 

Before dissolving your lip filler, your healthcare provider will ask you if you are allergic to bee venom. If you had an allergic reaction to a bee sting in the past, you’re not able to have hyaluronidase injections as there’s a risk for an allergic reaction.

 

HOW MUCH DOES THIS PACKAGE COST?

 

$800. This includes both sessions: the dissolver as well as the full syringe of filler. Injector Alexandria will use 2-3 vials of dissolver in order to fully dissolve your lips. If an additional dissolver session is needed, this will be included at no charge as satisfactory outcomes are important to us here at Velvet Crush. The $800 will be collected at the time of the dissolver appointment as this is a package deal. We do offer separate services of dissolver and filler.
